How to use this website

There are two categories of post: news and tidal stream

The news is for arranging paddles in the future.

The tidal stream is for recording past pleasure and pain.

You have to login to contribute to either category, and to respond to paddle invitations

Be careful to put paddle proposals in the news category (selected by a tick box to the right of the editing space, but it is the default anyway).

You can keep up with paddle proposals, and alterations to scheduled events, by making a RSS feed to your browser or mail program.

The URL for the feed is:

http://www.padfield.org/tim/kyk/dyc/wl/?feed=rss2&cat=4

You can follow responses to proposals with this feed:

http://www.padfield.org/tim/kyk/dyc/wl/?feed=comments-rss2

You put this link in your RSS reader, which may be a plugin for your usual mail or browser program. In firefox browser you can add it as a ‘live bookmark’ ( bookmarks -> organize -> file -> new live bookmark )

For the tidal stream, note that the standard picture is 450 pixels across. You don’t have to put up a picture, but if you do it looks nicer if you keep to the convention, or make the picture smaller. For a larger picture, you can link from the 450 px one that displays first.
